Welcome to the official home of La Lune Noire — a Dutch New Wave and Electro band from Dordrecht, the Netherlands.
Our music is powerful, yet intimate — danceable and haunting at the same time. Wistful synth lines, Gregorian undertones, punky guitars and lyrics that have something to say. We carry the echoes of the 80s in everything we do, but we’ve never been content to just look back.
Inspired by Gary Numan, Front 242, Killing Joke, Depeche Mode and early Simple Minds — La Lune Noire has spent fifteen years finding its own voice. Seven studio albums, stages across Europe, and a live show that keeps getting sharper. This is New Wave with something to prove.
Although there’s only three of us travelling from the south/“-west of the Netherlands (Paul comes from the south-east) when performing on stage, we take lot’s of instruments and equipment with us. To much for our own little personal movers. Albert’s Autobedrijf is so kind to equip us with a small van.
